Learn how to make a Treasure Basket
Ange has made up some lovely treasure baskets for the under 1’s to play with. They live at the Centre but she is taking them out to sessions at Whitley Wood, Hexham, and Whitley Park. If you would like to know more about how to make a treasure basket for your little treasures just ask Ange or Jenny
 
Outdoor play at Sure Start  
The weather is getting better so look out for more outside sessions If you didn’t already know there is a lovely garden attached to the nursery at Sure Start and soon there will be an area for Jenny and Ange to run some fun sessions. We have a lovely nursery garden which we use for our Saturday stay and play session come along to explore.
Who are we?    
We are Danielle, Angela and Jenny, Family Development Workers. We provide informal family support through fun family activities, which aim to encourage children’s development by focusing on the 5 Every Child Matters outcomes (be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve economic well being) and the Early Years Foundation Stage principles. We work closely with partnership organisations to provide activities and services which enrich, strengthen, promote and support families in the South Reading community.

Every term we publish our Snippets newsletter detailing our full programme and Weekly Activities Timetable.
We also provide training opportunities including IT, Englsih for speaksers of other languages and English & Maths as well as courses such as First Aid, Adult Craft and Keep Fit all with a free Crèche.
